Since 1897, PTA has worked to improve the lives of children and their families. For more than 100 years, PTA volunteers have used their time, energy, experience and knowledge to bring about changes in laws, policies and programs for the benefit of children. PTA is a nonprofit, noncommercial, nonsectarian and nonpartisan association whose members can and should speak out on behalf of children’s rights. The mission of PTA is to be “A powerful voice for all children,” “A relevant resource for families and communities,” and “A strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.”

The Fall Festival Basket committee will gather, organize, wrap, and tag the baskets collected by each homeroom. Usually this is done 2 weeks leading up to fall festival. Committee members should be available during school hours to come to the school and be able to lift, bend, and stretch. This is a committee best for those without preschoolers because the work space is tight. Committee members are needed to set up tables and baskets the evening before fall festival and also to help sell tickets at the festival.

This fun and moving event is a favorite of our very own LRE Army Veteran, Mr. Kirby! Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, and LRE honors them by serving coffee, pastry and a hot breakfast while they enjoy a tribute performance by our students and special guests!
We need volunteers to help pickup items for the breakfast, shop for decorations, decorate the cafeteria the night before and staff our breakfast event. We’re a super fun crew – sign up to join us!
Everyone that attends our breakfast leaves with a full heart and appreciation for our service men and women!
